Of course, nothing beats playing at the beach and the San Simeon State Park has a lovely cove where you can enjoy the water with shelter from the winds. There may be an occasional elephant seal on the beach, so be careful to always keep your distance! Wildflowers Super Bloom: Wet winters turn into colorful springs as the hills erupt in blocks of color. With the winter we just experienced, this spring is surely to be a Super Bloom. Wildflowers along the Central Coast are the most visible in April and May.
