Cambria Events – A Year in Review

Happenings in Beautiful Cambria: A Year in Review

Every year, we find new ways to love Cambria even more than we already do. Our small town is not only blessed with beautiful weather all year long, but is home to annual events that help us celebrate the spirit of Cambria and the Central Coast. From wine festivals to marine life conservation efforts, there are so many wonderful events in Cambria and the surrounding areas that it’s no wonder the Central Coast is such a beloved place to visit. And, with four oceanfront hotels on Moonstone Beach Drive, our Cambria Inns Collection offers the perfect place to stay!

Coastal Discovery & Stewardship Celebration

When January and February come along, it’s time to explore San Luis Obispo County with the annual Coastal Discovery & Stewardship Celebration along the iconic CA Highway 1 Discovery Route. As part of this celebration, ten Central Coast destinations offer almost 40 unique activities and volunteer opportunities that encourage conservation, exploration and discovery. A variety of special wine and food pairings along the Pacific Coast Wine Trail add to the overall experience.

Cambria Art & Wine Festival

The Cambria Art & Wine Festival is a three-day event celebrating two things that make Cambria so special: its diverse, talented art community and its burgeoning wine scene. There’s a little something for everyone to enjoy and events happen all over town. We’re proud to be part of this event that raises funds for the Chamber of Commerce and the Allied Arts Association.

Paso Robles Wine Festival

This year, the annual Paso Robles Wine Festival celebrated its 35th year, kicking off with two impressive multi-coursed dinners that brought Paso Robles’ best wine producers together. Complete with educational seminars and tasting excursions, a highlight of the festival was the Grand Tasting, bringing together 70+ wineries to showcase their wines for a memorable tasting experience.

4th of July

Fireworks returned to Cambria this year and it was a sight to behold! The day kicked off with some old-fashioned fun at the community picnic in Shamel Park. It featured pie-eating contests, relay races, tug-of-war, face painting and everything a small town party should have.  We’ve already marked our calendars for next year and you should too!

Pinedorado Days

Since 1948, Labor Day weekend in Cambria is the time to celebrate Pinedorado Days. Barbecues, games, food booths and live entertainment fill the weekend, commencing with an annual parade down Main Street. Local businesses and organizations get into the spirit with homemade floats, creative costumes and lively participants. It’s a weekend of fun for all ages!

Scarecrow Festival

Since 2008, October in Cambria is synonymous with scarecrows! What started as a simple festival with two dozen scarecrows has since grown into a community event to celebrate harvest season. Local artists, students and residents compete in this artistic event, resulting in hundreds of scarecrows delightfully and creatively displayed around town. An Oktoberfest celebration and 5k Run/Walk add to the list of local festivities.

With a wide variety of events in Cambria, a visit to the Central Coast means there’s always something fun going on, regardless of the time of year. Whether you’re looking for a winter escape or prefer a summertime vacation, let Cambria Inns Collection welcome you to the Central Coast.
