We’re excited to share that a date for the Highway 1 reopening has been announced! Caltrans has confirmed the rumor that the Big Sur stretch of the road will reopen on Friday, July 20th. The reopening of Highway 1 means travelers will once again be able to take in the iconic sights of the Big Sur coastline as they travel between Cambria and Carmel.

We’d like to thank visitors and the local community for supporting the Cambria Inns Collection, as well as the towns of Cambria and San Simeon during the closure, as well as all the people who worked so hard to get the highway reopened as quickly as possible. It was a challenging time for everyone affected and we’re looking forward to Highway 1 reopening.
